In 1967 Emanuele Tomassi was born in Aprilia and in 1969 his family opened the historic bar Emanuel. Young Emanuele, after a period of training in the family business, moved to New York in the 90s where during 4 years he matured significant experiences in Manhattan’s most fashionable places. Back in Italy he opens a new store that he calls Caos Caffè. Here he develops the passion for the modern coffee shop and begins his search for the best raw materials. Later he moved with his family to Denmark where he met the vice world champion baristi. From their collaboration and after a period of study ETO coffee was born, roasting adhering to the principles of SCA - Specialty Coffee Association.
WCRC is an event organized by World Coffee Events, Member of the Specialty Coffee Association, in collaboration with Italian Exhibition Group. World Coffee Roasting Championship rewards excellence in coffee roasting, examining competitors based on the ability to evaluate, prepare, blend and roast coffee. A jury of certified judges evaluates competitors about specific criteria relating to the ability of preparation during the pre-roasting and the roasting stages in production.
